Wanderlust Travel Tips

If you love to travel, I think that you have already mastered the true meaning of this word. But, of course, there are those that don’t really know. I must admit, before I started blogging I had no slight idea what it really meant so I didn’t even bother taking the time to find out. I always knew that it had something to do with exploring or just simply having an adventure. Little did I know that it meant ‘a strong desire to travel’, well according to google

(I downloaded this from google because I absolutely love this quote)

I’ve always said that travelling is an essential part of life, after all it builds us into the type of person that we want to be. Now don’t get me wrong when I refer to the term ‘travel’, I don’t necessarily mean going to a place that is hours away from home. I simply mean changing location from time to time.

We all have this urge to travel from place to place but come across one common problem… BUDGET. So here are some tips that might help you along the way:

  1. Travel during the “low-peak” season.
  2. Try to arrange deals especially over the phone. You’d be surprised how lenient the tend to get.
  3. Do activities as a group. You always get better discount deals.
  4. Get yourself a card that has no foreign transaction fees. This will save you a lot of unnecessary costs.
  5. Go couchsurfing. You can stay in locals’ homes for free and get a more in-depth experience of their culture.
  6. Instead of using large amounts of money on ubers rather take a bus.
  7. Avoid eating at tourist attracted restaurants, rather eat where the locals eat.
  8. If you’re like me and tend to plan things last minute, search great deals online at JetsetterPriceline, or Hostelworld
  9. Plan your day carefully so that you get a slight idea as to what your money will be spent on.
  10. Last but not least, avoid buying unnecessary souvenirs.

I compiled this list according to my past experiences. I sure do hope that they do come in handy to some of you some day.

I would like to hear on what other budget tips you probably came across while travelling. What mistakes have you done that had cost you to spend unnecessary money.

    1. ) than what's the point? There is nothing holy about the Bible or Koran. People quote the &qtou;good" passages of the Bible all the time. Should we not take those literally either?Well,… where is our brain that you have developed? Isn't your brain suppose to think better than a DOG – Sorry I mean GOD…

  2. I totally agree with no.3. I would say the best way to go on a trip is definitely with friends. You can never get board. You do activities together which enables you to save more money.
